AutoShutdown Overview
Welcome to the AutoShutdown feature overview for AZExecute. This powerful feature helps manage your virtual machines by automating shutdown and startup processes according to defined schedules, saving resources and costs. Below, we detail the various capabilities of the AutoShutdown feature.
AutoShutdown/AutoStart
The AutoShutdown/AutoStart feature allows you to automate the shutdown and startup of your virtual machines. This ensures that VMs are only running when needed, reducing costs and resource consumption.
Advanced Scheduling
With advanced scheduling, you can set specific timings for the shutdown and startup of VMs. You can schedule these actions for every day or customize them for each day of the week to fit your operational needs.
Pause/Postpone Execution
This feature allows users to pause or postpone the execution of scheduled shutdowns for individual VMs. This is particularly useful if users need to work beyond the scheduled shutdown time, ensuring their tasks are not interrupted.
VM Grouping and Ordered Execution
The grouping feature allows you to create VM groups for ordered shutdown and startup. You can define the execution order for both startup and shutdown within a group, ensuring that dependent services are brought up or taken down in the correct sequence.
Additionally, you can defer the execution of specific VMs within a group by specifying a wait time. This provides granular control over the scheduling process and allows for more flexible management of VM operations.
